Its newly designed frame allows you to opens it up from the top, and lets the seat rotate 360 degrees so baby can play and interact from any side. A fun seat and toys at five locations on the platform engage baby all the way around, and an electronic toy at the front has motion, music and lights that can be activated by baby spinning a drum. Seat also features a bobbling elephant, a monkey swinging from a vine, a parrot hanging from a bead bar, a clear spinning bead ball, a tiger that plays hide and seek, a spinning lizard that makes rattling sounds, a tethered chew toy and a stack of chips with cute graphics for baby to explore. Two soft leaves extend from the frame to create an overhead 'canopy' with soft toys that dangle down for fun bat-at play. Jumperoo has has three height adjustments for extended use. We were originally going to get our 8 month old a jumper that you hang from the door. After reading some reviews about injuries and mishaps from jumping into the door frames, we firmly decided against that and researched floor models.

We were between this Jumperoo and another one that has 4 support poles as the base. The square Jumperoo didn't have nearly as many toys for her to discover and it seemed to take up much more space. We decided on this Jumperoo because it took up less room and had more toys for only slightly more money. The investment was worth it for just the first 10 minutes of fun!

When we first put her in, she wasn't quite sure what to make of it and just looked around at the toys grabbing for them. After she realized (in the first 2 minutes) that she could jump, she did with great joy. Her face was all smiles and watching her kick her feet out while jumping had us all rolling on the floor hysterically.

The toys she likes best are the ones that spin and she reaches for the parrot and frog that hang. The tiger that comes up when you push on the button seems pretty useless, as does the color wheel.

The whole thing took us about 10 minutes to put together and another few minutes to wash the toys. Remember not the submerge the electronic one and to put 3 AA batteries in it. The box does not include the batteries and you'll need a screwdriver to remove the battery cover. Also, the large spinning ball has a rainbow sticker along the sides that if you don't dry right away, well, they'll start to wrinkle. The Jumperoo does fold up for easier carrying/stowing but it's not a smooth transition. I don't see us doing it that often however.

As I mentioned, the entertainment that the adults got was well worth the cost initially. And now, our baby girl has a great time bouncing on it while strengthening her legs. She doesn't seem to like jumping without an audience but maybe she will when she gets a little older. Don't wait to get this, you won't regret it!!

**09/02/2009 UPDATE**

Well, 2 kids and 2 1/2 years later, we finally decided to sell our Jumperoo. Would you believe we received tons of inquiries and eventually received nearly 70% of our original purchase price? What terrific resale value!

"Better & more attractive than the Deluxe Jumperoo..." 2007-01-27
By Heather D (Philadephia, PA)

We have an active baby that really likes to stand, tries to walk when held, and always wants to be on the move -- it can be exhausting. From reviews I read, the Jumperoo seemed like a great toy to provide excercise and fun for the baby (and a short break for Mom & Dad).

The long awaited Rainforest Jumperoo finally came about a week ago! Since we had pre-ordered from Amazon in November anticipating a Christmas gift, we were disappointed that there were delays and it was not expected 'til well after the holidays.

In the meantime, my 3 month old son was anxious to move and had lots of energy, so I bought the Deluxe Jumperoo at a local retailer about 4 weeks ago. He liked it, but seemed to get bored quickly with the toys and would use it just a few minutes each day.

Some of the key differences with the Rainforest Jumperoo:

- The seat rotates 360 degrees and there are toys all around it, so there is always something new to look at -- and he can change his view of the room by himself (he's just starting to turn in it on his own).

- There are animals hanging above his head from the "leaves" and the baby loves to look at them and sometimes jumps to try and reach them.

- The music & sounds are pretty cool...like they would play at a carribean restaurant. The Deluxe music was okay, but the "boinging" noises (although fun at first) got annoying pretty quickly.

- The format is round versus the old A-frame style -- although I feared it would take up even more space, it actually looks less obtrusive and fits in the room better. It's easier to get by and doesn't trip you!

- There are three hanging springs (versus four) which seems to offer more mobility and freedom of movement. Sometimes he just sways around.

- Now nearly 4 months old, our son will spend happy stretches of 20-30+ minutes multiple times a day in the Rainforest version. Less than a week ago, he would spend about 15 minutes a day in the Deluxe version.

- The Rainforest version is attractive and seems well made in comparison to the "Deluxe". It has thoughtful design details -- like the tree frog seat and the silky green tie-dyed fabric under the hanging leaves.

- It appears that when folded it will take less space than the Deluxe -- which is pretty awkward when folded.

- If your decor is more subtle, the Rainforest Jumperoo will probably fit in better than the vibrant blue painted frame of the Deluxe version.

Suggested changes:

- More opions for the height of the seat -- this seems like an easy change the manufacturer could make that would be helpful. My son is pretty tall for his age, but between a "1" and a "2". So his feet are flat on the ground at level 1, and don't quite reach at level 2. This means he stands and sort of walks to get slight bouncing -- versus actually jumping (the toes are supposed to touch but not have feet flat on floor for optimal jumping).

- I would like some sort of storage option (like a vinyl bag it would fit into) to take to another room, store it for company, etc.

Overall, the Rainforest version was a little more expensive than the Deluxe, but in my view, well worth it. The differences are more than cosmetic, and our son really does seem to enjoy it more than than the Deluxe (which is on it's way to Grandma's today).

"Fisher-Price and Baby Einstein comparison" 2007-06-26
By Lael

I bought a Fisher Price jumperoo based on the wonderful reviews and was not disappointed. Because my 4-month old baby loved it so much, I decided to purchase another jumperoo for the g-parents' house. My husband convinced me to buy the Baby Einstein jumper so that our baby would have something different to play with. So far, our baby seems to enjoy jumping in the F-P jumperoo much more than in the B-E jumper.

Below is a list of differences I noticed between the two:

1. The B-E seat is wider than the F-P seat. My baby's body wobbles around a lot in the B-E seat. The F-P seat provides more support and has a extra cushioning behind the head so her head does not wobble when she moves back and forth in the seat.

2. The B-E seat's fabric is cut so that my baby sits on her rear more than in the F-P seat. Because of this, my baby jumps around a lot more in the F-P seat than in the B-E seat.

3. The B-E jumper has more height settings. My baby is able to touch the floor without a cushion or phone book underneath her. She still needs a firm pillow under the F-P jumperoo.

4. The B-E jumper toys seem to be for older babies, who have developed stronger fingers. Some of the toys require quite a bit of coordination to use. The B-E toys that hang above the jumper are actually just plastic rings, which are not very interesting. The F-P toys that hang above the jumper are more colorful and much better quality. My baby studies the F-P toys for long periods of time, but is not interested in the B-E plastic rings.

5. The B-E jumper music toy plays 5 classical music songs, but they are short. The F-P jumperoo's music lasts much longer, even though there are only two different music selections.

Also, the B-E jumper music toy is activated by touching one of the piano keys. The F-P jumperoo music is activated by the baby's jumping. Again, it seems the B-E jumper is for older babies who have better eye-hand coordination. The F-P jumperoo seems to encourage babies to jump more than the B-E jumper.Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Center

 "EXCELLENT BOUNCER/EXERSAUCER" 2007-01-29
By C. Dupre (St. Paul, MN)

Our then 3 month old son was very active and would stand in our arms and JUMP for as long as we'd let him. I started researching the bouncers ~ we needed something to help us out with this active child. I saw the Rainforest Jumperoo online, but I didn't see any reviews and was hesitant to buy it. It's a little more expensive than the other options. I went to BabiesRUS and looked at all the options including the exersaucers and this seemed like the best option - it's a perfect combination of both. It has fun and colorful toys that he loves plus a small space that's designated as a snack tray. Now that we have it home - I can honestly tell you that this is the BEST toy that we have found for him. He will sit in his jumper for quite a while. I often ask him if he wants out, but he just laughs and keeps jumping. I love that he can turn his seat 360 degrees - he can turn towards me wherever in the room that I am. Also, he's a little short for this - his feet just reach the floor, but we put a short stool under him and he now has enough room to push up and bounce. He should be able to use this for several months to come. This was a GREAT investment - the best baby gadget yet and we have them ALL!!

"Comparing Earth's Best with 7th Gen and Nature Babycare" 2009-06-24
By D. Freiberg (Madison, WI USA)

This review compares Earth's Best with 7th Generation and Nature Babycare diapers. I have 3 kids, and before my last child there weren't many options for environmentally-friendlier diapers besides 7th Generation. My daughter and first son started in cloth and moved to 7th Generation exclusively. So when my son was born in May, I thought I'd try some others and see what I came up with. I did not test Natural Choice because we could only buy online and didn't want to buy a case just to try it out, especially when we found a solid performer at a lower price with Earth's Best.

For the short version, performance/preference differed by size: For newborn diapers, Earth's Best was heads and shoulders above 7th Generation (Nature Babycare doesn't come in NB size). For size 1, Earth's Best was still on top, with Nature Babycare and 7th Generation tying for second, though I'd give Nature Babycare an edge for environmental friendliness. I have not tested Nature Babycare above Size 1, and have not yet tested Earth's Best in Sizes 2 & 3. 7th Generation performed adequately in those sizes. For Size 4 & 5, 7th Generation and Earth's Best were much closer, with Earth's Best being slightly more absorbent.

Overall, we have been very happy with 7th Generation over the years, so these new diapers were a pleasant surprise. 7th Gen is not flashy, definitely more stiff than mainline diapers, but the kids were comfy, never had diaper rash due to the diaper, and the diapers were pretty absorbent with very few leaks. However, we often had runs of overnight leaks that seemed unrelated to needing to move up a size, and we have had to move up a size much earlier than the package would indicate by weight (this happened with our son in particular, and he is pretty skinny).

For Newborn diapers, I highly recommend Earth's Best over 7th Gen. The Earth's Best diapers had a stay-dry liner, great fit for a newborn, and were much softer, than 7th Gen, which for a newborn is much more important than a toddler! Most importantly, they were super absorbent. Now, I have to say that for first-time parents I'm sure 7th Gen is fine, but by the third kid I know I didn't change my son as often as I should (tysk, tysk), at least at first when I was trying to adjust to 3 kids! The Earth's Best diapers NEVER leaked, and kept my son dry due to the great liner. The 7th Gen NB diapers were a distant 2nd. I don't know how absorbent they truly are, because they leaked almost immediately due to poor fit. First off, they were bigger than Earth's Best NB diapers in size. They also were more stiff, which meant it was much harder to both tuck in the flap for the cord in the beginning, and it was hard to get them tight so there was no gaping on the top...so the pee just leaked out the top half the time. I should note that I also got some NB Huggies from a neighbor and they were the worst of the 3 - they were soft but small, and held very little urine before leaking. Also, the gel or whatever was sort of cold, so the diaper always felt wet on the outside when it was wet on the inside.

For Size 1, Earth's Best is still the winner, but 7th Gen and Nature Babycare were a lot closer. For some reason Earth's Best only has the stay-dry liner in the NB diaper, but it still seemed that the inside of the Earth's Best diaper was softer and drier than the 7th Gen. Earth's Best and Nature Babycare excelled at absorbency, 7th Gen. was sufficient but not quite as good. All 3 diapers fit well. Earth's Best is by far the softest; 7th Gen slightly less, and Nature Babycare feels like the paper towels you get in a public restroom - not something I'd want to wear, but baby didn't seem to mind too much. Nature Babycare would probably rank second because of absorbency and it is more environmentally friendly than the other two, but gets low points for softness and because the tabs don't stick anywhere on the diaper other than the front - so you can't roll it a ball as easily for disposal (you can roll it and secure one tab to the back of the other, it's just a little trickier). 7th Generation a close third - it doesn't have the drawbacks of Nature Babycare, but it is not quite as absorbent, either.

For Size 4 & up, I'd give Earth's Best a slight edge, only because of overnight absorbency. I actually like that 7th Gen is more stiff for a toddler; the Earth's Best side panels are very soft and stretchy but I feel like that makes them sort of flimsy. However, we always used 7th Gen for our toddlers, never mainline brands - I think if you were switching from Huggies or Pampers that might not even occur to you because it seems like those have really stretchy side panels too. I've never had a 7th Generation leak during the day, but more than occasionally at night, and since we don't really want to buy two sets of diapers, we're switching to Earth's Best for our older son (he's 21 months). A note on shape - the Earth's Best were longer and narrower than 7th Gen at this size, which works well for our skinny son but may not be for everyone.

One final note on 7th Generation quality control. Twice my husband found we were shorted diapers in the package, so now we count the diapers every time. Contacted the company and they sent us coupons for diapers and other products along with an apology. Also, occasionally we've gotten a string of diapers with the tabs attached poorly so they rip off entirely when you open them - very annoying and sometimes not salvageable. We have used these diapers pretty much constantly for 3 years though (none of these problems in the past 6 months, it may have improved), so I have no idea whether the quality control of other products is any better.

"We switched from 7th Generation to Earth's Best" 2009-07-04
By Lillian36 (United States)

7th Generation does make a good diaper. I gave them a 5-star review but compared to Earth's Best diapers, I would give them a 3-star review. Earth's Best diapers are better and here is why:

1. Earth's Best diapers are more true-to-size. My 17 1/2 pound baby has outgrown the size 3, 7th Generation diaper, which is supposed to go from 16 - 28 pounds, and she's really skinny. I didn't notice so much the size difference before but now that she's getting older it's more pronounced. She has a lot of room to grow in the Earth's Best size 3.

2. Earth's Best diapers are softer and more comfortable than 7th Generation. The tabs are more stretchy and it's easier to get a good fit.

3. Earth's Best diapers are better quality. We've had problems with the tabs on the 7th Generation diapers coming off. It seems to be a quality control issue because I'll buy a whole case and a lot of the diapers will have tabs that fall off and I'm not able to use them. I've not had this problem with Earth's Best diapers.

4. They don't leak. I couldn't use 7th Generation diapers at night because they would leak. I haven't had that problem with the Earth's Best diapers.

5. They are still environmentally friendly, fragrance and cholorine-free.

I used Pampers for my other two children, and Earth's Best diapers are just as good, if not better.

I have tried seventh Gen and others and Earths Best is the tops of the enviormentally friendly diapers. No blow outs or leaks and the strechy tabs are great for a nice fit. It is worth a few pennys more !

I would highly recommend Earths Best Diapers !!

 "Finally, no GEL!" 2010-05-29
By AVB

I hate the gel that is left all over my son's bottom from using disposables... that's one of the main reason why I switched to cloth diapers! However, I needed a disposable diaper for middle-of-the-night changes and lengthy travels. I've used Huggies pure and natural (got the gel) and Seventh Generation (which I prefer for the chlorine free factor, but still got the gel) in sizes 3 and 4... not very happy with the gel! Well, I had to try Earth's best when my grocery store was out of Seventh Gen... I LOVE THEM (got NO gel)!!!

The EB diapers are soft (Sev Gen feel a bit rough IMO), the tabs are very stretchy, the fit is good, and the absorption is outstanding! If I had used these first, I may not have ventured on to cloth diapers at all, although it's nice to do a little something for the planet! Best of all, NO GEL!

"From Pampers to Earth's Best: Finally Found What Works!" 2010-09-01
By A. D. Rakowski (DC Metro Area)

We were a Pampers Swaddlers household from Day One. This being our first child we were pretty happy with how Pampers worked with our little one despite the occasional leaks in the leg area. Then Pampers changed their formula and her skin became intolerant to the new DryMax. We used our last box manufactured before the big change sparingly. Every time we opened our daughter's diaper her hands would immediately go down and start scratching. I decided that we should try chlorine-free diapers before trying cloth diapers and found Earth's Best at my local brick and mortar. We bought them in Size 2 at first and I loved them! Sure, they weren't as soft as the Swaddlers but they fit her better. Since moving to these diapers she is no longer itchy and no longer breaks out in a random diaper rash. We loved that she almost never leaks in them. So much so that I only wanted to use the Earth's Best diapers overnight while we still had some Pampers Swaddlers. The Earth's Best keeps her dryer, doesn't leak, and isn't all that much more expensive than Pampers. We are so pleased that we found the solution to our problems with these diapers. It was a harrowing few months trying to figure out which diaper would ensure her comfort and our peace of mind. Our daughter is thin and has no butt but has chunky thighs so if your child is similar you might just be in luck with these as well!

Pampers Cruisers, Size 7, 92-Count

Pampers Cruisers, Size 7, 92-Count Review. Pampers Cruisers...

 "hooray!" 2007-08-17
By Tommy's_Mommy

We have a very (very) handicapped son and were barely able to squeeze him into size 6. We hesitated to move up to "depends" because of the cost. The new size 7 is a lifesaver for us!

I saw the other reviews, but we've had no problems with leaks or with the tabs.

From some of the reviews, sounds like these might not be a great fit for large toddlers, but for a 55 pound six-year-old, they're perfect!

Thank you, Pampers!

First the service at Amazon is fantastic. The diapers have arrived in usually 2 days. I have a severely handicapped 21 year old daughter who is too small for adult diapers and too large for standard baby diapers. The Pampers Cruisers in size 7 have been the perfect fit for her. The Cruisers also are more durable than standard diapers. I am thrilled with this product.

"Great way to get diapers!" 2007-09-10
By jenmbrun (PA)

I find that the size 7's are actually roomier than the 6's. My son will be 3 in early December of this year and I find that the 7's are almost a little big on him, even though he fits the weight recommendation for theses. He's very tall for his age and I find that the 7's come up higher than the 6's and for us, that's what we needed. He doesn't have a big belly or big thighs, but he's very tall and the 7's work just fine. I do have a hard time finding these in the stores, and when I do, I usually wind up paying just as much for half the amount of diapers. I would typically get them at Target in the smaller pack and I'd have to buy 2 packs and it didn't even equal 1 of these jumbo packs so I think it is far more cost-effective to do it this way, ESPECIALLY with the free shipping. Also, I don't have to go to the store and spend all kinds of money on other things that I wind up getting when all I really went for is diapers. The UPS man (my kids call him the "diaper fairy") comes and leaves them at my door and I don't wind up spending money on impulse items at Target anymore. The free super-saver shipping makes it all worth while...for me anyway.

As a mom of a 38 inch, 42 lb 28 month old, I was absolutely nuts because I couldn't find diapers OR pullups big enough to fit him. We are in the process of potty training but due to a speech impediment its slow going. These are the first diapers I've found that are big enough! Especially since theres no cost to ship, its almost better than buying at the local store(since they're not about to stock them anyway!)

Our son just turned three and is not yet potty-trained. He's also off the charts for height so when Pampers came out with this product, it was fantastic for him! Hopefully, we won't need diapers for much longer.

Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor with 1.8" Screen - Silver

Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor with 1.8" Screen - Silver Review. Ahh, baby has finally fallen asleep. Time to do the dishes/eat dinner/go to sleep…but wait! Is that the baby waking up? Is she coughing? Is she breathing? Every new parent (and one or two veteran ones, too) knows this scenario. It’s lovely when your baby sleeps, but it sure would be nice to keep an eye on her, too. But there aren’t too many parents around who have the luxury of sitting quietly in baby’s bedroom, watching her sleep. This is why baby monitors were invented. And traditional audio monitors are a terrific boon to modern parents. But the Day and Night Handheld Color Video Monitor—now here is technology at its finest! Turn On, Tune In, and Stay Out of Baby’s Room With this slick little monitor, not only can you hear your little angel’s every breath and snuffle and rustle, but you can see her every move, too! From anywhere in the house, no less! Sound lights visually show baby’s level of activity, while nighttime LED lights on the camera make the baby full...

 "Excellent Multi-purpose Monitor" 2006-08-14
By elviswoman (Dallas, TX United States)

We are expectant parents and purchased this monitor for our nursery from a local store after carefully reviewing the return policy. We purchased the one with the silver faceplate which seems to be the newer improved model on the market. When we got it home, we ripped it out of the box and decided to test it rigorously, and we made our two dogs our test subjects. Also, we live in an older house, so we expected issues with electrical interference. Here are our findings:

1. We were able to see our entire kitchen both in light and in the dark although the picture was somewhat grainy in the dark. We could see our dog's eyes and teeth from a distance of about 15 feet away from the camera in both conditions.

2. We took the receiver all over the house, used it in our home office, next to our refrigerator, by our cordless phone while in use, and the reception was great with occasional static pops.

3. We were able to take the receiver outside about 20 feet around the perimiter of the house with no interference.

4. We conducted similar tests placing the camera unit in other areas of our house and had no problems.

5. Sound quality is astounding, my husband could hear me talking on the phone in another room and could hear my breathing sounds between my verbal responses on the phone.

We have had this camera for about two months now and are confident it will be of great value when our baby gets here. We had one dog that kept pottying in front of our fridge and we busted him with this camera. So overall, for the money, it is a great value and can serve many different purposes. I would highly recommend it to anyone with babies, pets, elderly or disabled persons to care for. We are very happy with this purchase.

EDIT, July 2008:

This product is STILL working great for us two years later! We lost the AC adapter to the handset while we were on vacation and we ordered a replacement from the manufacturer-they did not charge shipping and we got it within a week of ordering. I am pleased with the support given for this product as well as the product's performance. Again, I highly recommend!

"Best thing I own right now for my girl" 2005-10-22
By D. Pegalis (Metro DC)

We have a 3 month old right now. She was colic and had to sleep in our bed for the past 9 weeks. We now have her in her crib. I can put the handheld part next to my bed and watch her at night. What is really great is that at night when you hear noises that sound like she is waking...you can look at her on the screen and see..nope she is still asleep! We take it out to our hottub and can watch her too.

The color isn't too great on it but it is great anyway.

The only thing I wish is that the screen wouldn't get too hot while it stayed on and when it is running on batteries that the you could get the screen to constantly stay on.

I wish I could also buy another handheld too to keep in another part of the house.

 "Awesome!" 2005-10-09
By Pennie (FL)

We just exchanged the Safety First Video monitor for this one. It's not that the other monitor was a bad one, it's just that this one suits us so much better. I like the fact that the receiver is compact and contains the video picture as well as being portable and having rechargeable batteries. The ability to hook it up to your TV (with a simple plug in cord) is a really neat option too! The camera with this unit has a wider range of adjustability than the Safety First model too, which works much better for us with the location of the high shelves in his room. I would definitely recommend this monitor! It brings peace of mind knowing that your child isn't trying to climb out of the crib!!

 "Excellent Reception and Clarity!!!!" 2005-11-20
By N. Yuen (San Jose, CA)

My husband and I received this as a shower gift and after trying all the other video monitors out there, this was the ONLY monitor that gave us a CRYSTAL CLEAR picture! We tried the Mobi Cam which got good reviews for clarity in a "wired" household but we were suprised and disappointed with all the interference and static we saw on the monitor (even from 10 ft. away). We were amazed that this Summer system was cheaper and provided better quality out of all the ones we tested (Safety 1st and Mobi Cam). Highly recommended, especially if you have a "techie" household :)

 "This is THE monitor!" 2006-05-25
By Tiana (Texas)

I always read these reviews before making a purchase. They always help me make the best choice but I have never written one myself. This warrants a rating in my opinion. And here is why:

I orginally had the Safety First Video Monitor but I did not like it at all. When I would be on the phone, cell phone or cordless, the interferance was so bad that I could see nothing but static on the screen. I use the time when my son naps to catch up on phone calls. There is NO interferance with this monitor.

The Safety First system had a very large monitor. It was not portable and gave off too much light at night. This is handheld and has great range. PLUS, it has a recharable battery. Now, I don't know about all of you, but to me, this feature is profoundly attractive considering between the swing, bouncer and all the other gadgets and guizmos, I should buy stock in Energizer.

I know some mentioned that the monitor was a bit small, and this is true. However, I find that it is not a problem for me at all and the picture quality is great. I can see my little man in his crib and tell if the noise he is making is just him stirring in his sleep or if he truly needs me. I can also hear him breathing over the monitor. Which puts me at ease.

Also, some mentioned that the monitor would get a bit of static from time to time but if you repositioned the handheld unit, it would cease. I have encountered this, but it is so easily remedied that it is not even an issue for me.

I purchased the Buyer Protection Plan from Babies R Us which cost me $24.99 and covers the unit for one year. If anything happens to it I will be sent a check for $160.00. $25 insurance for a fairly pricey item seemed a good investment for me.

If you are a new parent, I highly recommend this item. I don't know that my son and I would do as well if I couldn't actually see him while he was sleeping without having to go in his room. (Picture actually seeing your baby's chest rising and falling and knowing he his breathing.) This item is a bit expenisive, but I truly believe it is worth every penny.

I hope this helps!

Sassy Ring O' Links Rattle Developmental Toy

Sassy Ring O' Links Rattle Developmental Toy Review. This colorful set of 8 links comes with a large black and white ring to hold them all. Use the links to help baby identify colors or even to link other toys together!...

"Must have baby item - great longevity" 2010-02-16
By S. Reagan (Maryland)

I purchased 2 of these and use them for everything. Use them to attach infant toys to stroller bars, baby gyms, infant bar handles, shopping cart covers etc.... When baby gets oldler they are great for teething and playing. Around 12 months of age, they can start linking them themselves for a great fine motor skill game. Then when they are toddling around, you can use them to link cabinets together to prevent babies from opening them. Such a cheap must have item. Highly recommend!!

These are cute, but of course the highest praise comes when they are covered in baby slobber. :) The bright colors and variety of textures have made these a hit for our nine month old. Being BPA free makes them a hit with Mommy too!

"Great as toys - and useful for you!" 2009-12-12
By Jenny (San Bruno, US, Canada)

I love these things . . .

Toddler uses them as bracelets, to chew, to hook other toys onto things.

Mom uses them to lock Toddler out of kitchen cabinets, to hook her packages to the stroller, to hang bras off a hanger to dry . . .

The list is endless.

"Love the versatility of this toy!" 2010-07-31
By P.B. (Los Angeles, CA)

I ordered two of these ring o' links because my daughter and I both love this product. My daughter simply loves playing with this. Her favorite link is the black and white which she frequently uses as a teething ring. This toy is perfect for on-the-go and it doesn't take up a lot of space in my diaper bag. I can simply take this toy wherever we go and it'll keep my daughter entertained. I love the different textures and colors. The best thing about this toy is that it is BPA free. It states it on the packaging. I was receiving conflicting reviews from moms who say that this is or this is not BPA free, so I contacted Sassy and received the following email from them:

Thank you for your email. The Ring O' Links has always been BPA-free. Be assured we only use safe non-toxic materials. The safety of the children using/playing with our products is our primary concern, and all of our products meet and exceed all safety standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM). Each consumer is valued, and we thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Best Regards, Judy/Sassy Consumer Relations

I hope that clarifies any confusion regarding BPA and this particular product. I'll be purchasing more of these links as gifts for other moms!

By A. M. Kraha (San Diego, CA)

this is one of the toys that has gotten the most use of all the ones we've gotten for our daughter. she started playing with these at 3 months old and even now that shes almost 14 months she still has fun playing with them putting them on her wrists as bracelets.

they've also been good for teething, bath time, and stroller toys since you can hook one end onto the tray or shoulder strap and a rattle on the other and not worry about it falling out.

i definately recommend this and the other sassy brand teething toys, well worth the money!

"Best Hands Free Pumping Bra EVER!!" 2009-10-03
By Pumping Mom (New York, NY)

I just discovered this hands free pumping device after the birth of my second child. I tried easy expressions, the pumping bra by la leche league, and made by moms pumping band with my first child. Don't waste your time trying them even if you can find them at discounted prices. These products all offer assistance, but are not hands free. It truly is a hands free product.

Here's what I love about it.

1. It will fit any woman's body perfectly and is adjustable, so as your body changes postpartum you will not need to buy another size. The front zipper panel allows you to adjust the placement of the breast shields and the panel in the back allows you to adjust the overall size. Amazing!

2. The fabric is soft and comes in a nice light pink color.

3. Believe it or not the bra actually supports bottles completely full of milk.

4. I don't use the straps, but it's a nice add for the woman who wants a little more support.

5. The packaging is so cute.

Above, I mentioned that I tried three other products with my first child.

Here's what I did not like about each of them.

Easy Expressions

1. If you are not lined up perfectly with the holes the bustier will not work for you.

2. There is no support at the top to prevent the breast shields from slipping down while pumping. OUCH!

3. I had to buy a medium and large size. Depending on my milk supply, I would alternate between the two sizes.

4. The packaging is horrible.

La Leche Leage

1. Nice idea, but offers absolutely no support of the bottles.

Made By Moms

1. Is somewhat supportive of the bottles but so stiff and uncomfortable.

"excellant product and customer service but watch out" 2009-12-13
By P. Jain (Los Altos, CA, USA)

I bought 2 of these from Amazon and it was so much better than what I was using before. This is a really well designed and thought product. That is why I was surprised when I found this piece of Velcro was sown inside with the cloth and hence rubbed against my back causing pain (you know what can happen when velcro rubs against skin). I figured out a way to use it without it hurting me but I still wanted to call the company and give them my feedback because I thought this was otherwise such a neat product. Anyways, I called the company and left a message in their voice mail. I got a call back the same day. Apparently, there were some made with this Velcro problem which they had removed from their stock but somehow Amazon had not removed theirs. Without my asking they said that they would send me 2 without the Velcro problem for free. And I got them the next day by FedEx. So, great product and customer service. The only caution is that Amazon may still be carrying the wrong ones. Hopefully, they would be removed from stock soon.

 "THE BEST INVESTMENT" 2009-09-27
By musicandy6909 (New York)

I consider this item in my CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT category. I don't understand why this bra is not sold in every baby store, right next to the pump. I can't believe how many weeks I spent pumping, bored out of my mind because I couldn't move my mouse or type on my keyboard, hold a phone to my ear, frustrated because I couldn't even scratch my face...this thing is a complete lifesaver. In fact, as I write this review, I am pumping! And now I never pump without it! And of all the pumping bras out there, this one is THEE BEST. I've seen two other brands, and they don't seem as comfortable or "made for everybody". Whatever size/shape you are, this bra will fit! You can adjust the circumference of the bra not only with the zipper inset in the front, but also with the velcro strips at the back (which are so sturdy and never pull off on their own). So because the back of it is all velcro, you can adjust the bra by I'd say 5-7 inches narrower or wider depending on your preference. I've fluctuated a lot since buying this bra, and I can adjust it as I need to. I started at about a 36C postpartum, and now I'm about my old size which is a 32 or 34B. I got the S/M size and it fits perfect. I'm normally in clothes, a size 2 (at my smallest) - 8 (at my largest), and this bra has changed with me and has always been comfortable. The material is a microfiber, so it's really soft and not itchy at all.

These make the best baby shower gifts and the packaging that it comes in is very pretty and feminine. I'm ordering another one for myself to keep at work when I pump.

LOVE IT

"Absolutely the best -- a necessity for working moms" 2010-06-04
By Michelle R. Wiss (Reston, VA)

This is the third hands free pumping device I've tried. The Easy Expressions bra was resulting in a lot of spilled milk, slipping breast shields, and worst of all, lost milk when I'd put it on when I was engorged. Plus the nipples didn't line up quite right and I would spend my pumping session rearranging the shields. The Pumpin Pals set up just didn't work. Their Super Shields are awesome (another item that no working mom should be without) but the whole medieval strap device was just horrible.

But the Simple Wishes bra is great! Since it is adjustable, I can get a perfect fit. I can also use the straps for a little extra support since I pump into nine oz bottles and my Avent pump is a little heavier than the Medela set ups. I also love the extra zipper to adjust the space between my breasts for a perfect fit.

Pumping accessories seems like such an odd, niche market, but good accessories are absolutely critical for those of us who need them and pump three plus times a day to ensure our babies are fed the best food possible. The Simple Wishes bra definitely makes the whole process easier!

Yookidoo Flow 'N' Fill Spout

|

Yookidoo Flow 'N' Fill Spout Review. The International Playthings Yookidoo Flow N' Fill Spout is an automatic play spout that attaches to the tub and offers so many ways to play. Water is drawn up and through the spout creating an endless stream. Use three different activity tumblers to play with the water as it falls- create a shower with one and turn a propeller with another. The third tumbler features a hidden friend inside who floats to the surface when filled with water - peek-a-boo. Use the tumblers individually or stack them and watch the water run through all three at once. Swiveling arm holds the tumblers and can be placed directly under the stream or pushed off to the side. The spout swivels, too. Easy for kids to turn on and off by themselves- just press the face....

 "Major Bath-Time Fun" 2010-06-21
By Charles Evans (North Carolina)

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R33NCOFGMD8IIC The Yookidoo is great bath time fun - better yet, kids of all ages will love it (well up to a point). The concept of the Yookidoo fountain is pretty basic it has an opening at the bottom with a small pump. The pump circulates the water to the top and fountain is put into motion (it will make more sense once you see the video). Our daughter loves playing with her Yookidoo even if it is mainly to try to find ways to drink the water!

Things we like -

- It is very quiet - if it wasn't for the falling water you wouldn't even know it was on

- A variety of cups to catch the water (see the video)

- Suction cups work great for attaching to the bath tub.

- Seems to be high quality (so far) we have used it daily for about 1 month.

Areas for improvement

- It is a minor complaint, but it might be nice if it was a little bigger

Final Verdict- I can't imagine any child that wouldn't enjoy the Yookidoo fountain. You can buy this with confidence.

5 Stars

 "Lots of entertainment" 2009-09-17
By Online Mama

If your children enjoy playing with running water, this toy is a great alternative to continually running the faucet. It seems to be well made and has functioned well for the months that I have had it.

I purchased this toy for my 2 year old, but my five and seven year olds play with it, too. I have been known to stick a cranky kid in the tub to play with this toy for an hour or so- a break for me and an attitude changer for the child!

I am purchasing a few of these for Christmas presents this year!

 "Perfect!" 2009-10-09
By M. Lovelace

This toy was a WONDERFUL purchase. My two-year-old little boy would cry every time we turned off the big faucet b/c he loved having the water running. Now he can't wait to get into the tub and use his own faucet. He loves having the power to turn it on and off and the little cups entertain him for a few moments every time. If your child loves running water this is a MUST have. I love that it doesn't waste water and that it makes bath time more pleasant.

 "Great toy" 2009-10-09
By Tony B. (San Francisco, California United States)

Pros -- hours of fun; both the 1.5-year old and 3-year old love playing with this thing, or at a minimum want it running in the background. Saves a lot of water (and money) as well vs letting them play with running water from the faucet! The batteries last a surprisingly long time -- more than two months with significant daily use.

Cons -- after we started using the spout, we started seeing some dark residue after the bath water was emptied out of the tub. Now, before each use, I rinse the bottom part with running water and turn it on and run some water through it outside of the tub. This procedure seems to have addressed the residue issue.

It's a really neat idea and a great item overall.

my two year old son really likes this toy. It is easy for him to turn off and on. And the tumblers that come with it are lots of fun too. Especially the one where the water turns a propellor.

"A Wonderful companion and sleep aide" 2007-08-19
By Mark Smith (Little Rock, AR)

Our two year old got one of these as an infant and the 'rain' noise has been a staple to help him fall asleep since. His "Sheepie" is a close companion even when the noise is not playing. We bought another one just last week to give as a baby gift, and found that they had upgraded a little. Our sleep sheep only plays 23 minutes of noise, but the newer model give you the option of the noise lasting 23 minutes or 45 minutes. That's a nice addition, as the 23 minutes sometimes is too short. We have machine washed and dried this MANY times and it seems to be standing up to the beatings a washing machine can give a stuffed animal.

 "My New Best Friend!" 2007-02-15
By Hoopty Frood (Toront, ON Canada)

The Sleep Sheep has been a godsend in helping my baby (age three months) sleep. After tracking my baby's internal sleeping schedule, I incorporated the Sheep into our nap and bedtime routine. After only two days, I'm able to lay him in his crib while he's still awake, and he falls asleep on his own.

This has been the best sleep aid product that I've bought. The sounds play on a nice, long cycle. The timing was a problem with other products I tried to use. These items had an auto-shutoff at around five minutes, which was nowhere near enough time for my little one to settle. As well, I like that the Sheep has volume control.

All in all, this is a great item. I'm planning to buy one for my friends that are expecting babies.

"Another solid product from the Cloud b line" 2009-06-24
By prada_8279 (New York)

We bought the Sleep Sheep, Twilight Turtle, & Lavender Lab for our daughter who is now 3 months old. All of the products are all well-made & worthy purchases. We've been using the Twilight Turtle since day 1 & it's been a LIFESAVER on many occassions. All we need to do is turn off the lights & put this on & she immediately quiets down when she's overtired & over-stimulated. Usually she quiets down within 5 minutes & loves looking at the moon & stars.

I just started putting the sheep next to her in her pack & play at night. I'd coslept with her since she came home from the hospital, but now that I'm back to work, I'm trying to get her to sleep on her own. As anyone who's coslept knows, it's NOT an easy habit to break. The Sleep Sheep has really helped soothe my daughter. I just put it on the heartbeat sound & put it nearby. Maybe she feels like she's still sleeping close to me. I love that it stays on for a considerable time & automatically shuts off without me having to worry about getting up to turn it off myself. We go through dozens of batteries in our house so anything with an automatic shut-off is a huge help, especially at nighttime! It also has a volume control which is another nice feature. I had it on last night & not only did it lull my daughter to sleep, but I found it made me sleepy too!

I definitely recommend buying any of these products with confidence. Can't say too much about the Lavendar Lab as she's still a little too young to appreciate stuffed animals just yet, but I'd happily give any of these items as gifts of recommend them to others.

"Helps my grandson fall asleep" 2007-02-04
By Judith Ward (Irvine, CA)

I just looked up this product to buy one for a gift. I was surprised to see that it's rating (before my review) was only two stars so had to add my comments. The Sleep Sheep was given as a gift to my grandson and is a big hit. It helps him fall asleep. And because the mechanism is housed in a soft lamb, it is protected from breaking when his 3-year-old sister throws it.

 "Soothing" 2009-07-10
By 00bs (NY)

This Sleep Sheep is so cute and cuddly. I love that is has four different sounds and they are all soothing. I use it for his naps and bedtime. It attaches nicely to his pack n play. It has two time settings (23 and 45 minutes) and volume control. He is usually asleep before the 23 minute setting stops. I'll confess, I have even fallen asleep to the rhythmic heartbeat. Definitely worth every penny.
